Relocating from the UK to rural New Zealand in 2006 for the love of a good man, Alison Norris-Baber, the designer-maker behind 'Agnes Coy' carried with her piles of old, old textiles, worn cloth and tattered boxes filled to the brim with paper memories.
From her little wooden cottage studio, built for her by the man she loves, she set about stitching and fashioning beautiful textile pieces as a way of coping with the strong feelings of loss she had for her country. She stitched until her shoulders relaxed, her breathing steadied and she felt at home and at peace amongst the sights, sounds and smells of New Zealand.
Since that time, her business, home and lifestyle have been featured in many publications both nationally and internationally.
Your lovely work does this Kiwi proud that you have chosen NZ to make your home - you represent us so beautifully.

I wish to thank-you for creating such rare treasures...I truly felt special, as though I was receiving a gift from a kindred friend. These covers will be enjoyed and kept as heirlooms through the family.
